Pulsar Neutron 640 is a SwaP-optimized uncooled LWIR thermal imaging module developed for OEMs building their own products, platforms, and integrated systems. It is designed for companies that need proven thermal imaging technology as a compact building block, without using a finished Pulsar housing, display, battery, or user interface.
With 640×480 resolution, 12 µm pixel pitch, thermal sensitivity below 30 mK, low power consumption, USB UVC video output, and UART control, Neutron 640 gives engineering teams a practical path to integrate thermal vision into drones, ground robots, surveillance systems, industrial platforms, and third-party handheld devices.

Compact, lightweight, and low-power, Neutron 640 is designed for platforms where size, weight, and power consumption matter. With a module weight of 28.2 g without lens, dimensions of 28×28×31 mm without lens, DC 5 V input, and power consumption below 1 W, it is suitable for payloads and embedded systems where every gram and watt counts.
Neutron 640 uses a 640×480, 12 µm European LWIR sensor with 8–14 µm spectral range and sensor thermal sensitivity below 30 mK, helping integrators deliver detailed thermal imaging for professional, security, industrial, and unmanned applications.
Neutron 640 is built around a practical OEM integration philosophy: thermal video output, module control and power supply using the same cable. This helps engineering teams reduce integration effort and focus on their own product design, application software, and system architecture. Control the module through extensive API either sending the commands directly or use the multi-platform app.
Neutron 640 is made in Europe and positioned for customers who require supply-chain transparency, compliance readiness, and long-term trust.
Pulsar supports OEM integration with technical guidance and customization options. Interface boards, lens choices, and product adaptations can be discussed for customer-specific projects.
The module is intended for integration into drones and UAV payloads, robotics and autonomous systems, fixed surveillance systems, border and perimeter security platforms, industrial monitoring systems, and third-party handheld devices.
Neutron 640 is backed by Pulsar’s experience in finished thermal imaging products for residential and professional users, including hunting, outdoor, birdwatching, law enforcement, police, nature conservation, and search and rescue markets. We operate 4 factories in Europe and manufacture thousands thermal devices a month
